Rooted in lived experience
EYC is a family born, youth led, values driven organisation that uses lived experience alongside professional and academic expertise to support young people experiencing multiple disadvantage in working towards a positive future.
EYC is inspired by Elizando Yolande Carty, known as Annette, a mother who navigated significant adversity in her own childhood and adult life while raising her children with compassion, strength and determination. Her children now work across frontline mental health, education, sport and youth work, and together have decided to build an organisation of their own to support families facing similar challenges.
Walking alongside young people and the professionals who support them
We support professionals working with young people, and young people and families directly, helping them navigate complex systems and challenges while building the skills to help others, or to progress independently.
